“These are unique plates and we’re hoping we can raise as much money as possible.”

Torres “The plate was on a Porsche GT3 RS for two years, and E1 LFC was on the company Mercedes Benz.
He added: “The auction runs for 30 days, we’ve had interest from Sky Sports for a piece and it’s also being hosted on eBay.
“Maybe Robbie Fowler might consider a bid because it works for him too!
With expressions of interest in the Torres plate alone already passing pounds 70,000 the rare sale is set to be a windfall for youngsters in Africa.
Sal said: “I’m wondering will there be interest from Fernando himself but if not it would be fantastic if he could hand the plate over to the winning bidder.
Sal added: “This year I wanted to do something a bit special, I’m a huge Liverpool fan, a corporate season ticket holder and I’m a massive supporter of UNICEF.

TWO rare LFC number plates are set to spark a bidding war and raise hundreds of thousands for children.
The Preston-born businessman was brought up on the team by his dad who came to the country through Liverpool docks.
